The 2013 Tushek Renovatio T500
The Slovenian Supercar Based On The K1 Attack Roadster
Today I'll be writing about another supercar from another former Warsaw Pact country. That country is Slovenia, and the car I'll be writing about is called the Tushek Renovatio T500.
The Renovatio T500 is a mid-engine rear-wheel drive supercar equipped with an Audi RS4 sourced 4.2 liter V8 that delivers 450 horsepower at 7,900 rpm and a maximum torque of 315 lb-ft at 3,200 rpm. Top speed is 192 mph and can get to 60 in 3.7 seconds. That's point 1 seconds slower than the Marussia B2. The Renovatio T500 uses power steering.
The Renovatio T500 has a carbon ceramic/Mo frame (whatever that is) with an integrated roll cage. The suspensions used are double-wishbones in the front and a pushrod operated suspension with one-way manually adjustable ride height. The body is made 1/3 from pre-impregnated carbon fiber and 2/3 from composites. The brakes use ventilated carbon ceramic discs with 6-piston calipers. The brakes are also power assisted. The tires used on the Renovatio T500 are Conti Force Contact Semislicks. The rear wing is made of carbon fiber and is adjustable. The car also includes adjustable seats, adjustable pedals and steering column, and extra 4-pooint seatbelts for track day nuts.
The cost of a Renovatio T500 in the United States is $370,000 which is $5,000 less than the Saleen S7.
