2013 Minerva J.M. Brabazon
Minerva's Return To The Automotive World
When most car nuts talk about Belgian supercars they usually are referring to the Lamborghini Murcielago and its derivatives. However a recently revived company from Belgium called Minerva has decided to celebrate its revival and attack the Italian dominated world of the supercar with a supercar they call the J.M. Brabazon.
To those who have never heard of Minerva it was a Belgium automaker that existed from 1902 to 1938. Minerva became defunct in 1956 due to the economic devastation brought by the end of World War 2. However in 2013 it has returned and is better than ever.
But enough of that. Let's talk about the car. The J.M. Brabazon is a mid-engine front-wheel drive hybrid supercar armed with a powerful twin-turbo V12 that produces a top speed of 248 mph. You would think this car is aiming at the Bugatti Veyron but it isn't. Its aiming at the McLaren P1 and Ferrari LaFerrari. Zero to sixty will take 2.5 seconds.
The J.M. Brabazon's body is built on a carbon fiber monocoque chassis and features a carbon-Kevlar body to keep the weight low. News on the J.M. Brabazon is fuzzy right now but I can tell you that it will use a sequential transmission, regenerative brakes, and a limited slip differential. The price for a J.M. Brabazon is unknown at the time.
