The 2005 GTA Spano
Spain's Fastest Supercar
Jeremy Clarkson of British Top Gear thinks that the Spanish don't make good cars and that they're boring. He might change his tune when he takes a look at the 2005 GTA Spano. Built in Valencia, Spain, the Spano is a real-wheel drive rear-mid-engine supercar that has a central rear longitudinally-mounted supercharged 8.3 liter V10 that produces 820 horsepowerrrrrrr and 960 Nm of torque. The top speed is 217 mph. Zero to sixty takes 2.9 seconds.
The chassis is made of a combination of carbon fiber, titanium, and Kevlar. It has a power-to-weight ratio of .62 hp/kg through the use of bio-ethanol fuel and large Pirelli P-Zero tires. This increases brake horsepower from 780 to 840 bhp. The brakes use six-piston calipers from AP Racing and include a pneumatic ABS system and carbon-ceramic discs. Total weight of the Spano is 2,976 lbs. The suspension is multi-adjustable.
The Spano is expected to cost $692,975 which is cheap given how beautiful and fast this car is.
