The 2010 HTT Plethore
Canada's First Supercar
Today I'll be writing about Canada's first supercar ever, the 2010 HTT Plethore.
The Plethore is a mid-engine rear-wheel drive supercar built in Quebec, Canada. It's equipped with a supercharged 6.2 liter V8 that produces a good 750 hp and 655 lb-ft of torque. Another option is a home made engine that produces 1,100 hp. That's scary. Top speed is 238.7 mph and can reach sixty in a very good 2.9 seconds. The Plethore uses a 6-speed Tremac manual.
The chassis and body are made entirely of carbon fibre with no engine subframe making the chassis very rigid. The Plethore weighs a total of 2,401 pounds making it very light. Combined with a 1,300 horsepower engine it will give the Plethore a power-to-weight ratio equivalent to that of a Formula 1 race car. The adjustable suspension is electric and hydraulic. The brakes come from AP Racing and use aluminium alloy calipers with 6 pistons in the front and 4 pistons in the back. The steering is power assisted through the use of electronics.
Like the McLaren F1 the Plethore has three seats and the steering wheel is in the center of the dashboard.
The cost of a Plethore in the United States is $680,000 which is reasonable and cheap given the scary power and engine options you're given with this car.
