The 2015 Vencer Sarthe
Another Netherlands Based Attack On Ferrari And Lamborghini
Ever thought that Spyker Cars was the only Dutch automobile company that made sports cars. If so you're wrong. There is a new company called Vencer and they have created a supercar they call the Sarthe.
The Vencer Sarthe is a mid-engine rear-wheel drive supercar equipped with an unknown type of V-8 engine that delivers 622 hp @ 6,500 rpm. Top speed of the Sarthe is 210 mph. It isn't known what kind of transmission the Sarthe is connected to but many believe it's a 6-speed manual. Zero to sixty takes 3.6 seconds. Apparently the Sarthe has a spoiler that pops up when you either brake hard or go really fast to improve aerodynamics and handling but I'm not completely sure.
The Sarthe uses a full carbon fiber body that rides on a light, chrome-molybdenum chassis with a honeycomb structure. Little information is available on the suspensions but Vencer has stated that they tuned the suspensions for road-use which seems good.
Unlike most modern cars the Sarthe doesn't use computerized driving aids which is done to make the Sarthe mirror the race cars of the 1980s. A four-wheel hydraulic lift system is available to customers who want to pay extra money for a more comfortable ride experience.
Excluding taxes the Vencer Sarthe if it ever makes it into production by 2015 will cost $347,826 which makes it more expensive than most Ferraris and Lamborghinis. Many car enthusiasts say that the Lamborghini Huracan and the Audi R8 V10 will be its main competitors.
