The 2013 McLaren P1

An Incredible Hybrid Supercar

Ever wanted a supercar that goes fast but you were environmentally conscious? If so there are now about three or more options that will really please you. One of these options is the incredible McLaren P1.
The P1 has an RMR layout and is rear-wheel drive. The engine used is a McLaren M838TQ twin-turbo 3.8 liter V8 that works in conjunction with a McLaren electric ECU motor. Together these two power sources give the car 903 bhp at 7,000 rpm which is very good. Top speed is limited to 217 mph. Naught to sixty-two takes 2.8 seconds. The transmission used is a 7-speed dual-clutch. The P1 has an all-electric range of 6.2 miles.
The suspension is hydro-pneumatic. The steering is electro-hydraulically assisted. However the most interesting feature is a rear wing that comes up when you're braking the car hard or going at high speeds. This is done to prevent loss of car control and crashes. The tires are experimental tires created by Pirelli as said by Jeremy Clarkson on British Top Gear, and they're very grippy. The chassis and body are likely made of carbon fiber composites and other lightweight materials. I apologize for not knowing this since I couldn't find info on the car's chassis and body.
The price for a McLaren P1 in the United States is a whopping $1,150,000. But I think the price is well worth it. The car drives way more than stink.
