The 2013 SRT Viper

The Supercar Every American Dad Wants

If you had enough money you would want to buy your dad the latest American snake on the market for Father's Day; the 2013 SRT Viper.
Like the rest of the viper family the SRT Viper uses a V-10. The V-10 is all-aluminum, has 8.4 liters, and delivers a good 640 horsepower at 600 lb. ft. of torque. Top speed is 206 mph. Zero to sixty takes 3.7 seconds. The SRT Viper like it's predecessors is rear-wheel drive and runs on Pirelli P-Zero Z-Rated tires. Reliable stuff. Another option includes the installation of Pirelli P-Zero Corsa Tires.
The SRT Viper is equipped with a Tremec TR6060 six-speed manual transmission with a final drive ratio of 3.55. A new electronic stability control and a brand new traction control system is also included. This is new because no past Viper's had these features. The 2013 SRT Viper also has a 4-channel anti-lock braking system that in my mind is quite strong.
The interior of the SRT Viper is quite interesting. The seats are made of leather with accented colors with black being the most common. The seats are racing seats from Sabelt and they include a Kevlar and fiberglass shell. The hood, deck lid, and roof are made of carbon fiber while the door panels are made of aluminum. However the most interesting feature of the Viper is when you either brake hard or put the engine on maximum rev. When you do either of these actions a red silhouette of viper will appear on the center gauge behind the steering wheel as if it is ready to bite the driver. Cool. The instruments could also be color changed to the driver's preferences.
Let's talk price now. In America the SRT Viper costs $99,390 unless you purchase extra options such as the SRT Viper GTS package and special paint colors like pearl white and venom stripes.
If only Jeremy Clarkson would drive this car on British Top Gear. He might think it's good but not great. So there you go. The perfect supercar for your dad on Father's Day. And it's cheap compared to other supers. I hope all you dads had a happy Father's Day.
