The 2013 Laraki Epitome
Morocco's Impractical But Cool Looking Hypercar
Have you ever heard a man or a woman say that they wanted an exotic car from Africa? If so they might be referring to the Moroccan company Laraki. The Laraki I will tell you all about is their latest and rarest Laraki of them all; the Laraki Epitome. If you look closely you'll notice it is based on a Corvette body. Despite being Moroccan the Epitome is built in California.
The Laraki Epitome is a rear-wheel drive, front-engine hypercar with a twin-turbocharged V-8 with over 7 liters. The engine delivers a massive 1,200 bhp and up to 1,750 bhp on 110 octane gas. That's enough to make a Bugatti Veyron jealous.
The Epitome's exterior is made of carbon fiber composites which gives the car a maximum weight of 2,800 pounds. That's pretty light for a front-engine car. Another material used in the exterior of the car is aluminum. Unfortunately I couldn't find a website on where to get information on the gearing, suspension, and brakes since this car is only a concept. I apologize for this. Here's a picture of the interior to make you a little happier.
Let's move on to the price. This car is extremely expensive costing $2,000,000 which is almost Lamborghini Reventon money. However for this much powerrrrr I think it might be worth it. However the boys at British Top Gear might disagree with me. Only 9 will be made. Bummer.
