The 2015 Arrinera Hussarya

Poland's First Supercar

Ever thought Russia was the only former communist country to try to make a supercar? Think again. In 2011 a British designer and engineer named Lee Noble designed a chassis for a Polish supercar called the Arrinera Hussarya. The car is named after the Hussar cavalry of Poland.
The Hussayra is a mid-engine rear-wheel drive supercar with a 6.2 liter supercharged petrol V8 engine that delivers 641 brake horsepower. Top speed is 211 mph. Zero to sixty takes a whopping 3.2 seconds. Combine that with it's 211 mph top speed and this car goes like a rocket.
The original model of what was to become the Hussarya featured scissor doors but were abandoned in favor of swing-up Lamborghini style doors. The car was also going to be called "Venocara" but the designers decided on the name Hussayra instead.
Let's talk parts and function now. The front of the car is close to the ground to improve aerodynamics. Two air intakes allow air to be blown on the brakes to cool them down. The chassis is made from high-strength steel with variable section and a good amount of torsional strength. However the body, interior, and floor can ordered in carbon/Kevlar fiber composite materials. Reinforced roll bars are placed behind the seats, and both seats have inertia reel seat belts. The suspension was created by Lee Noble himself.
However the coolest feature this car has is that it can be fitted with a thermal vision camera that monitors the area in front of the supercar at a few hundred meters. If an object exceeds the ambient temperature the driver will see a bright image of it on a console in the center within normal sight line.
Now for the price. Arrinera hasn't put out an exact price but it's believed that this car will cost about $160,060. which is fairly cheap for a supercar. And it has Lamborghini-like and Ferrari-like looks so it's a win-win for the buyer.

The 2010 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG

Germany's best grand tourer and modern muscle car

Are you a muscle car nut? Are you tired of the typical American muscle and wanted something from...I don't know German? If you said yes to both questions the 2010 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is the car for you.
Based on an updated version of the Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing the SLS AMG features similar gullwing doors that operate on gas struts. Despite being modern the people at Mercedes-Benz decided not to add an electronic feature that allows the driver to close the doors automatically making closing them manually difficult.
Anyway let's move on to the engine. The SLS AMG uses a powerful 6.2 liter DOHC V-8 that delivers 583 muscular horsepowers and a maximum torque of 6,800. There is also a more powerful V-12 option. The car also delivers 479 lb. ft. of torque at 4,750 revs. Top speed of the SLS AMG is 120 km/h. Zero to sixty takes 3.6 seconds. The SLS AMG is rear-wheel drive.
The SLS AMG uses a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The car can deliver 0.98 g-forces and has a maximum mileage of 13/17 mpg. Extra features include a sport and sport plus mode which hardens the suspension. The coupe uses carbon-ceramic brakes while the roadster uses iron brakes. The SLS AMG's exterior is made of carbon fiber.
Let's talk price now. The SLS AMG costs $202,425 which is average in terms of supercar prices across the world.

The 2013 Laraki Epitome

Morocco's Impractical But Cool Looking Hypercar

Have you ever heard a man or a woman say that they wanted an exotic car from Africa? If so they might be referring to the Moroccan company Laraki. The Laraki I will tell you all about is their latest and rarest Laraki of them all; the Laraki Epitome. If you look closely you'll notice it is based on a Corvette body. Despite being Moroccan the Epitome is built in California.
The Laraki Epitome is a rear-wheel drive, front-engine hypercar with a twin-turbocharged V-8 with over 7 liters. The engine delivers a massive 1,200 bhp and up to 1,750 bhp on 110 octane gas. That's enough to make a Bugatti Veyron jealous.
The Epitome's exterior is made of carbon fiber composites which gives the car a maximum weight of 2,800 pounds. That's pretty light for a front-engine car. Another material used in the exterior of the car is aluminum. Unfortunately I couldn't find a website on where to get information on the gearing, suspension, and brakes since this car is only a concept. I apologize for this. Here's a picture of the interior to make you a little happier.
Let's move on to the price. This car is extremely expensive costing $2,000,000 which is almost Lamborghini Reventon money. However for this much powerrrrr I think it might be worth it. However the boys at British Top Gear might disagree with me. Only 9 will be made. Bummer.
