The 2010 Zenvo ST1

Denmark's First Car Ever

While the Danish have one of the most environmentally conscious countries in the world they weren't afraid to make a petrol powered monster supercar they call the Zenvo ST1. The Zenvo ST1 costs a massive $1.125 million and although it looks incredible it performs horribly making the high price so not worth it, and I'm about to tell you why. But first let's talk about the Zenvo's insane powaaaahhhhh.
The Zenvo ST1 is a mid-engine rear-wheel drive supercar equipped with a possible offshoot of the Corvette Z06 that is still very American and delivers an explosive 1,104 horsepower. The engine is also supercharged and turbocharged at the same time. Ridiculous! Top speed of the Zenvo ST1 is 233 mph. The car delivers 1,050 lb-ft of torque. How do you say "holy crap" in Danish? Haha.
Now to the bad sides of the car. The Zenvo ST1 uses a steel chassis that is coated in carbon fiber. The suspension is conventional and probably not adjustable at all. In fact they use gas-hydraulic shock absorbers with double wishbones all around. When Jeremy Clarkson of British Top Gear tested the Zenvo around some corners the suspension worked so poorly it caused the car to spin out multiple times. Worse was that this was done in Sport mode. Race mode is even more worse.
The transmission used is a six-speed manual combined with a Zenvo twin-plate clutch.
However hope is not lost for interested buyers. Three limited special edition versions of the car called the Zenvo ST1 50S will be made for 2011 and they have a few improvements. Let's hope these improvements work well for the buyers and whoever else drives these cars.
Honestly if I were Zenvo's boss I would've started slow and make an expensive luxury sedan or coupe, or ask an experienced company like Audi or Ferrari for technical advice before making a supercar. However I will say the Danish scored well on the looks of the Zenvo ST1.

The 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Daytona Concept Prototype by IMSA

A Mid-Engine Corvette That Actually Will Hit The World's Roads

You might be thinking "Corvette already made a mid-engine supercar." "what's the point of making another, even if it's based on the new Stingray?" Well unlike the Zora I wrote about earlier, this car, the Corvette Daytona Concept Prototype by IMSA, will make it into production, and it will hit American streets! And just look at it. It looks incredible and dare I say it, borderline Italian. In your face Ferrari! But enough of the hoopla. Let's learn more about this incredible looking race car for both the track and the streets.
The 2015 Corvette Daytona is a mid-engine rear-wheel drive supercar prototype equipped with a Chevrolet 5.5 liter naturally aspirated (unlike some previous Corvettes) V-8 that delivers an estimated 600 horsepower which is in typical Corvette territory. Top speed of the Corvette Daytona is an estimated 200 mph. Naught to sixty takes an estimated 3 seconds. I have only one famous word to say about that. POWWWWAAAAAHHHHH! The engine is coupled to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
If you're thinking "hey it looks like a Stingray!" you'd be right. Most if not all of the design of the Corvette Daytona is based around the C7 Stingray. However new exterior features include a redifined hood, headlights, and radiator air inlets. The rear end includes a brand new set of taillights and window treatment. There are even new slats that are placed along the car's flanks. This all works together to create a reasonable amount of downforce.
The chassis of the Corvette Daytona uses a carbon fiber monocoque and double-wishbone suspension which include the use of push-rod-actuated coil springs over dampers. The car weighs 2,275 pounds.
The cost of this machine will be an estimated $150,000 making it one of the nicest looking cars you can buy for an average supercar price.
I know that this car will be street-legal. My question is whether it's very street-friendly. If it isn't it would make a lot of people happy if Chevrolet made a more street-friendly version. It would also make me happy if Chevrolet let it's customers decide whether the large spoiler is simply an option they want or not.

The 2015 Spyker B6 Venator

The Car Dr. Doofenshmirtz Should Drive

If you've watched the hit Disney show "Phineas and Ferb" you would know that the character Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz always calls his inventions something "inator." Well If Doof was real he would want to look at the 2015 Spyker B6 Venator.
The B6 Venator is a mid-engine rear-wheel drive sports car equipped with a V-6 that delivers an estimated 375 hp. Top speed of the Venator is an estimated 165 mph. Naught to sixty takes an estimated 5 seconds. The engine is coupled to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Very little is know about this concept so I'll go ahead and tell you that it was designed to compete with Porsche 911s. The B6 Venator carries many of the traditional spyker qualities like the v-shaped radiator grille and the aircraft-inspired canopy. Right now Spyker is being very quiet about the details of this car. Worse Spyker has filed for bankruptcy recently. Let's hope this Spyker makes it to production, and let's hope it's cheaper than the rest due to it's reduced powaaaaaaaah.
