The 2013 SIN R1
An Italian Hypercar You've Likely Never Heard Of
Hello again. Today I'll be writing about an Italian hypercar you've likely never heard of called the SIN R1. When you look at the picture you have to wonder if the car is truly sinful in performance or innocent. Let's talk about the specs.
The SIN R1 is a mid-engine Italian hypercar equipped with a powerful GM-sourced 6.2 liter LS3 V-8 that delivers an almost American 525 hp @ 500 lb-ft of torque. The powerplant is coupled to a Graziano six-speed manual transmission that gives power to the rear wheels. Nobody knows the true top speed of the R1 but it's estimated to get to 200 mph or above. Naught to sixty takes about 2.5 seconds putting it close to LaFerrari territory. (what the engine is based on)
The SIN R1 has a strange design standard. A member of the company said that they wanted to make building the car like building Lego toys. Hopefully it paid off. I certainly think it worked just a tiny bit on the exterior but the interior is a bit worse. The R1 has an adjustable rear-wing to assist in aerodynamics. Nobody knows what materials the car is made of but I do know that the R1 weighs just 2,645 pounds which is very light.
Now to the bad interior. The interior is racing inspired so you should expect little luxury. Inside is a FIA roll cage, racing seats, a racing-style steering wheel, and what could be a decent or terrible amount of luggage space on the front end.
There is currently no given price on the R1. My question to you is would you buy one in the first place?
