The 2015 Tushek T600

Tushek's Take on Italian And British Looks As Well As Powaaaaah

A while back I did an article on the Tushek Renovatio T500 and what I wrote about the car made it seem like a decent performer. But what happens when the people at Tushek in Slovenia think "hmm?" "What if we decided to compete with Italy and Britain in terms of passionate looks on our new supercar?" The result is a convertible supercar called the Tushek T600.
The Tushek T600 is a Slovenian supercar equipped with a V-8 built by Tushek themselves that delivers 620 hp at what is likely to be a high amount of rpm. Peak torque will likely be at 400. Top speed of the aggressive looking Slovenian monster is unknown but given that the car weighs only 2,470 pounds will make it very fast. Naught to sixty should take at least seconds or hopefully even less. The type of gearbox this car will use is currently unknown. Even the gearbox it will use is still unknown. Given the picture it is likely a flappy-paddle gearbox.
The Tushek T600 uses a chassis that is made using a combo of carbon fiber and titanium which reminds me of the Pagani Huayra. Image result for pagani huayra It's entirely possible Tushek had to ask Pagani for permission to use this technique for the chassis of their supercar since it was Pagani who patented the use of carbon fiber mixed with titanium. Apparently the Tushek T600 can hold 1.8 G on a skidpad.
Nobody knows the price of the Tushek T600 either but given that the car will use a mixture of carbon fiber and titanium for its chassis and that it's main competition will come from Polish company Arrinera with the Hussarya a Image result for arrinera hussarya and Chevrolet's new Corvette 2015 Z06   Image result for corvette z06 2014  I expect this car to be $500,000 or more. Let's hope it's cheaper than that.

The 2016 Ferrari 488 GTB

A Scary Upgrade Of The Ferarri 458 Italia

Scary is a popular word in Ferrari's vocabulary. But recently the people at Ferrari decided to upgrade the already incredible 458 Italia by giving it Ferrari LaFerrari looks and twin-turbochargers. Whoa! Hold on now! Turbochargers!? Did the guys at Ferrari suddenly turn into mindless zombies, or are they still alive, breathing, and thinking correctly. Apparently Ferrari has created a 3.9 liter V-8 with twin-turbochargers because it's cleaner for the environment and for performance reasons. My only worry is that the hissing sound those twin-turbochargers will make when the car is on the go will make buyers of the new Ferrari want their money back. However you can't deny the new car looks even more ridiculous than the old one. Welcome people to the Ferrari 488 GTB. Image result for ferrari 488 gtb
The Ferrari 488 GTB is an Italian mid-engine rear-wheel drive supercar equipped with a 3.9 liter twin-turbocharged V-8 that delivers 660 hp at 8,000 RPM. That is 1,000 RPM less than the old Ferrari 458 Italia it will replace one day. Top speed of the 488 GTB is 205. Naught to sixty takes 3 seconds. The engine is coupled to what is possibly an updated version of the 458 Italia's gearbox with paddle shifters. Torque is at 560 lb-ft @ 3,000 RPM in seventh gear. Image result for ferrari 488 gtb
Differences from the old 458 Italia include three air intakes on the nose as opposed to one large intake on the 458 Italia. The center intake uses vertical struts inspired by F1 technology. The sides have a large intake scallop and triangular carvings on the handle on the door area. The scallops I mentioned are divided into two sections by what some are calling a "splitter-like" piece that helps cool the car. In the rear the taillights are larger, and the grilles connected to them are hollow pieces with black surrounds. The three-pipe exhaust that was in the 458 Italia has been replaced by two outlets placed on each side of the diffuser's center section. A trapezoidal is above the license plate, and the split-diffuser is replaced with a full piece that has an F1-inspired light in the center. Image result for ferrari 488 gtb
No official price on this scary and questionable Ferrari has been given but automobile enthusiasts say it will cost just under $300,000 making it one of the more expensive Ferraris.

The 2011 Lexus LF-A

Lexus's Supercar That's Really A Toyota

When Jeremy Clarkson of British Top Gear drove a Lexus LF-A he referred to it as the nerd's supercar and I agree. The Toyota built Lexus LF-A does look like the product of a tech-loving nerd. But then again it's a nice looking nerd's supercar. Anyway let's talk about some facts on the car.
The 2011 Lexus LF-A is a Japanese supercar with rear-wheel drive in a front mid-engine layout which is hard to believe given the car's long nose. The car comes equipped with a 4.8 liter V-10 that uses dual VVT-I that helps give the car 560 hp at 9,000 RPM. That's the same amount of RPM found in a Ferrari 458 Italia. Top speed of the 2011 Lexus LF-A is 202 mph. Naught to sixty takes 3.7 seconds which is close to what a Marussia B1 is capable of. The engine is coupled to a six-speed flappy-paddle automated sequential gearbox. This is referred to as electrohydraulic transmission.
The 2011 Lexus LF-A uses in-house designed and manufactured carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) center monocoque that has aluminum front and rear subframes for the chassis. The subframes, which can be removed to reduce the repair costs of the car, are joined to the monocoque using a brand new aluminum flanged collar to make a stronger joint. Toyota and others say the car's mass is made up of 65% carbon fiber-reinforced polymer and 35% aluminum.
The 2011 Lexus LF-A uses six-piston front and four-piston rear Italian Brembo monobloc brake calipers as well as rear carbon ceramic discs that are controlled by Toyota's Electronically Controlled Brake brake-by wire system. The wheels used are from the German company BBS. The tires used are Japanese Bridgestone next-generation Potenza tires.
Now for a very interesting fact about the 2011 Lexus LF-A. The 2011 Lexus LF-A uses a digital speed gauge since a normal one can't keep up with the actions of the car.
During high speed and hard braking the 2011 Lexus LF-A's rear spoiler will rise to regulate downforce and controllability.
The cost of a 2011 Lexus LF-A in America is above $300,000 which makes it more expensive than most Ferraris. My question to you is whether the price is worth it?
